About the Design: The KOO Asher Floral Design Journey

The Asher Floral collection complements the key trend of the upcoming spring season, Natures Haven, embracing the textures of our landscape in a modern, abstract interpretation of flora. Wildflowers, poppies and organic, oversized foliage feature in a textural, layered arrangement, encapsulating a sense of wilderness and contemporary gardens. A restorative palette alludes to warmer days, with crisp hues of green and blue forming the basis of this artwork. Vibrant pops of pink bring focus to the bright, painterly motifs, tying together this nature inspired design.

Here at KOO, our Manchester and in-house design teams worked together to develop an inspiring and bold design consisting of bright, vivid colours. The Asher Floral range began as a painted canvas artwork before being digitally translated into an oversized arrangement, working to layer the painterly floral motifs in a contemporary design for KOO bed linen.

Inspiration Behind the Design

Inspired by textural, abstracted painterly surfaces, the KOO Asher Floral range intends to capture the unexpected tactility in our surroundings. This artwork combines a love of colour mixing with an organic layering of garden florals.

Mediums Used To Create The Asher Design

Initial objectives for this artwork were to achieve dimensional painted surfaces, allowing vibrant colours to mix and embrace the imperfection of the artistic process. To achieve this desired look, a large canvas was used as the basis of this design, allowing background colours to mix and blend with one another. The work was created with acrylic paints using flat, wide brushes to capture the textural effect the paints and canvas surface create. Once painted, the artwork was then scanned and digitally manipulated to achieve a layered and compact floral arrangement.
